Michael Love

Div. Chief Mike Love has worked as a firefighter for Montgomery County (Md.) Fire and Rescue Services for more than 30 years. He has served in a diverse range of positions that includes extensive experience as a company officer and firefighter in some of the busiest companies, field battalion chief, assistant chief commanding one of three shifts of county-wide operations, chief of emergency medical services and special operations chief. He currently commands a division that includes the Fire Marshal‘s Office, Public Information, Community Outreach, Recruiting, and Planning and Research. A certified public manager, Love has a bachelor‘s degree in fire science from the University of Maryland and is a graduate of the USFA Executive Fire Officer Program.
