Robert Avsec

Bttn. Chief Robert Avsec (Ret.) served Chesterfield County (Va.) Fire and EMS for more than 25 years. Besides being a chief officer, he served as an adjunct instructor for the training and safety division. During his career, he also taught as an adjunct fire instructor for the Virginia Department of Fire Programs and since 1992 has been a contract instructor for the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Md. Avsec has an undergraduate degree in fire science and safety technology and a master's degree in executive fire service. He is also a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program.
